Questions on New Build

Brand new to the forum here I've been kicking around the idea of ordering my first custom ordered truck, and looking at a 2022 Ram 3500 Tradesman. I am retiring from law enforcement and planning to get into hauling hot shot early 2022. Since I don't HAVE to have the 3500 just right away, I figured the best thing to do is to just order one and get it how I want it.

Been reading some threads here and it sounds like the 2022 specs aren't quite out on the website to put in an order yet? Those should come out soon?

My other question is, how close to MSRP should we be expecting to pay right now? I know the market is tight, but the local dealers here are pretty much just asking for straight up MSRP on a custom build. Any suggestions for a good salesman/dealership to order from near north Texas? I'm willing to travel a little ways for the right price if needed.

Tons of good info in the thread i pasted below. I got 14+% below MSRP (about 6.5% under invoice) on my custom ordered 2021 DRW 3500. The dealer i used is no longer offering that discount.

However, some still are and they are mentioned in this thread below. Mark Dodge comes to mind.

So that went not well. They are willing to go 1% below invoice per the affiliate program but then offered me 44k for my truck which is worth minimum 48k. They came up to 45k and I walked out. Time to go to another dealer. My truck has 11,000 miles on it. I get that they are in it to make money...
