I have searched and can’t find an answer.
I have ordered a new truck, and I know from the last three I have owned that running 70-80 psi in the tires make for a rough ride when not loaded or towing. Is there any reason the dealer can not lower the warning pressures before I take delivery. Say possibly down to 50 psi? The tpms will show pressure no matter what it is, so I don’t see a safety issue.
And I’m not going to buy some other equipment to change it on my own. When you pay 73ki think you should have a say in the way it leaves the dealer.

They may do it, but will probably charge you for it. If they say they wont, then its probably a legal issue.
Or you may be able to find a member who's close buy that has the program and is willing to do it for you for some frosty breakages.
I lowered my setting to 30 PSI so I wouldnt have to worry about it.
I swapped out to 35" tires and am running 40/35 PSI in mine. Rides nice.

dealer can't most likely do to liability but just get an AEV procal snap and do it yourself. you might pay 73K for a truck but your dealer's dealership is worth millions lol. Each truck has a GVWR and they come with tires that are safe to run at that limit and the tires have to have the proper psi....If you are running at say 50psi and are at max gvwr and have a tire failure and get paralyzed or kill someone most likely you go after the dealership for letting you run lower psi than your max gvwr....
