Hey guys - been posting in the PW section, but I figured this question is better suited for the 6.4 Forum. I have a tentative deal made on a low mileage 22 PW that I am supposed to finalize on Thursday. I was just reviewing the Carfax and something caught my eye.
The truck is a 1 owner vehicle which is great, the previous owner did oil changes ever 4k miles which is more than necessar, but I'll take it. No warranty issues in the carfax, and no repairs on it (always serviced at a Ram dealer). BUT something just caught my eye.
This truck has under 20k miles on it, and I noticed that prior to being listed for sale, it had the sparkplugs changed at 18xxx. This might be nothing, but it's jumping out at me. Misfire issues? CEL issues? Poor MPG? I'm very curious why a dealer would change them at 1/4 of the "service interval".
Now, I could certainly be making a big deal about nothing, but I doubt I will get a square answer from the dealer. I haven't owned anything FCA in a while, and my last experience sucked. Please tell me if you think I'm being paranoid, or if this was a "good catch".
