Last week or so, its been maybe high 40s overnight. I park in direct sun, so when i get in the truck is reading minimum high 50s. but it still goes into preheat rather than starting right up? is there a setting to adjust? otherwise i am wondering if its a setting on the tune i am running.

We've owned our 2024 Ram 6.7L since last October and it was probably the warmest morning today at 38F. Started it up and it still went through the preheat cycle prior to starting cold like it always has without being plugged in. The only time that it hasn't is when it's been plugged in for a few hours. Only do that when it's below 5F or so.

I've noticed on warmer days the preheat cycle is shorter than on colder days. There's no adjustment outside of that except you can skip the preheat cycle altogether by pressing the start button twice.

The ECM is programmed to use the grid heater anytime the intake manifold temp is under 66°F.

You can bypass it by double pressing the start button. I don’t think I ever let the WTS complete a full cycle, aside from remote start, on either my 18 or 22. It’s way too long and is based more on emissions than a necessary starting aid. Even in temps below 0° I won’t wait more than a few seconds at most.
