Power Wagon Tailgate on an Laramie

So I really liked the 2018 only limited with the big RAM chrome letters across the tailgate. When my truck finally comes in I was going to buy an 18 limited tailgate and paint match my Laramie, I realize the tailgate from the 18 is shaped differently from the 22 but other than that I believe its a direct fit. Than today I saw a power wagon with the new design tailgate and it has the big RAM letters in black so who knows if they are stick on or bolt on? So technically I could order an 22 power wagon tailgate that’s wont have the big ram end logo on the tailgate and buy the big chrome letters and install them like an 18? I know you younger guys are all over the blackout look but us older guys still like chrome bumpers and stuff… what do you guys think?

Probably could be done. I haven’t looked but I bet you’ll find that the tailgate comes naked meaning no letters, no handle, no camera, no cap etc. once you get it painted and swap all your stuff over you’ll be good to go. Well, Unless you find a salvage tailgate with the correct options/cameras on the correct color.

I would just swap all my parts over, the power wagon tailgate is smooth without that giant ram head

I have a 2020 PW and am pretty sure if you remove the letters there are holes in the tailgate.

Why don't you have them plasma cut out of steel and chromed and put on with a super adhesive . Probably cheaper .
