Appreciate any help, my searches on the forum/YT all lead to solutions that will not work with the PW

Bottom line...I'm trying to run always on, 12v power to my topper to run LED lighting.

What I need help with:
- I need to know if I can tap into the existing truck bed lighting (this would be the ideal option)
- I need options on where to tap into always on power
- I need to know if I can use either of the wires located under/above the spare tire
What I know:
- SnugTop Topper has a at-afb-04 module to distribute power, I've mapped the circuits and know which wires to use for what
- There are three (3) wires located under/above the spare tire, one is for the CHMSL which is what I'm using for the topper third brake light
What I think I know:
- The up fitter wires located under/above the spare tire are useless on the PW because the harness to make them operational is already used to power all of the PW's 4x4 features

The charge circuit in the trailer wiring should work? I saw the guy get into the driver taillight hole and laying under the back when he put my Snugtop on….it has always on power to it’s overhead light, I put a pin switch in to make it work with the hatch/door.

I'll take a look. All of the wiring harnesses I've seen are wrapped for war...which is good but makes tapping into them tough.

Ok, figured it out. Post #52 of this thread provides the answer. Those of us with factory headlights have a power wire to tap into located under the driver-side area bumper area.

Everyone return to their normally scheduled program

I hope everyone has factory headlights! ;)

You could probably just power all that with an AUXBEAM, SwitchPros or similar. Don't need to splice. Just wire direct to the system.

I was able to power with the power wire for the LED bed lights. Works out well because I can use the light switch in the bed.
