Looking for a diagram of the lock actuator circuit for the tailgate lock on a 2020 CCSB Tradesman.

Trying to find a spot to tap into for my camper shell lock.

Anyone have one handy, or point me to a site that has it? Before I sign up with AllData...

Unfortunately you’re out of luck there. I spent months trying to figure out how to do that.

The tailgate doesn’t actually have a lock. The latch is completely electronically actuated, and the computer decides to release it or not when the button is pushed based on its decision of whether the tailgate is “locked” or not.

Eventually I have in and used the driver’s side rear door lock wiring.

I don't guess I even thought of it working that way. Makes sense now that I read your respones....

New question: diagram for rear door lock actuator system? Lol

I do t have the diagram, but you can find them at the bottom of the B pillar. Sadly you’ll have to drill into the bottom of the cab to get your wires in.

The really unfortunate thing is that doing it this way means that you can no longer just go up and grab the tailgate button if the doors are locked, as the cap won’t unlock.

There is one other option I considered, but never fully planned out: if you have the VSIM it has wires for lock actuation.

You could use the Ram box lock drivers. You might have to use AlphaOBD to activate the Ram box feature. I'm guessing @Jimmy07 could help with how to do that.

I'll dig into this a bit later. Thanks for that diagram! I'll be curious to see if I have any of the factory wiring for the ram boxes. Never thought about those locking and having actuators.

has anyone looked into this further? Trying to find a way to get the power locks without having to cut into the trucks wiring harness.

Here are some location diagrams.
