Pinon seal leakage

2022 3500 dually with the HO. After driving for about 2k miles, the truck picked up a vibration at around 70mph. Took it to the dealer and the tech said 2 rear tires were out of balance but it's a heavy duty truck and when it's unloaded it's going to vibrate. Now at 10k miles, the pinon seal on the differential is leaking. Talked to the dealer yesterday to get an appointment scheduled, earliest they could get it in is Aug 31st because they only have 1 lift that can handle a dually. Called another local dealer and they will get it in on Friday. That will be the last time I ever deal with service department and their crack staff.

Pinion bearing could of got wiped out causing the vibration then leak. Check for some up and down play. Throwing up the bs flag on the tire comment the tech made. What a POS...

That tech that made the comment about unloaded tires vibrating must be smoking bad $hit.

my 2020 rear pinion had to be replaced under warranty. Was told it was pretty common. has been dry for the last 5000 miles or so.
