Passenger Fold Flat area?

On the 2019 - 2021 3500 with 12" uconnect, is the area under the passenger fold flat a storage area or is there a speaker in that space?

If you have the Alpine or HK sound system with a subwoofer, it is in that spot.

Has anyone taken that subwoofer out? Any uConnect errors if it's disconnected? I'm not much of a thump thump music guy and would really like that storage space back.

No idea if a disconnect would throw code, but FWIW, it is not very 'thumpy' and listening to anything with no low range would horrible IMO.

It's a storage area, but I was kind of disappointed when I realized the sub would take the entire storage compartment.. really missing having all that extra space from my last RAM..
