I have a 2019 ram 2500 with a 6.7 Cummins. It’s throwing the code for lost communication with particulate matter sensor. The dealership stated they tested the part and it was good and it is a wiring problem. Truck runs fine. I have noticed it coming out of the tailpipe but other than that no problems. Does anyone know of common wiring problems? Thanks for the help.

Trace the wiring backward from the sensor. It will be one of the two sensors installed at the outlet of the SCR chamber. It’ll have the green wire loom cover on it.

One of the most common wiring harness failure points is where the wiring harness crosses over the frame. Often it gets smashed between the top of the frame rail and the bottom of the bed.
