HI,

I ordered a '22 3500 chassis cab that has been sitting in Saltillo, MX waiting on transport since September 7th.

I ordered the Parkview rear backup camera (XAC sales code), which ships loose on the chassis cab models. I pulled the engineering drawings from RAM Link: https://www.ramtrucks.com/BodyBuild...jGgHzAHGUTU0WB3rWuqSY7YmQ2vEhuBWBDHWIOyXoXUo

Page 8 has the technical drawing, which I am used to reading, but I do not see any indication of which way the camera will be orientated. i.e. which way the cable connection plug is oriented to ensure up is up on the screen. I have a bumper 98% built, but need to cut out a relief area to accommodate the cable connection, then weld in some camera mounting studs. I am stalled out on that one item.

When installed, with camera lens facing to the rear, does the camera electrical connection face up, down, toward the driver's side, or toward the passenger's side?

I found a much older document, and on that model it read like it was oriented toward the driver's side.

Additional cutting and welding is required, so asking if someone has one already and can verify.

Thx

ooh i am also interested in this! i ordered a 22 5500 laramie that iam putting a welding bed on. I got front/rear park sense with it as well. The dealer and i just assumed that also meant it came with a camera. Be curious to see how plug and play this is? or if it will require some detailed electrical work. If so i may just have to take it to the dealer
