Parasitic drain killing my batteries

I had my Diesel 2020 RAM 3500 built the way I wanted it…. Two issues persist:
Once or twice per year since I had it delivered, I would either wake up or after being parked for up to 4 days would discover two dead batteries! This will happen with either warm Florida temperatures or in cold South Carolina temperatures… (No lights left on nor anything else obvious)
It happened again yesterday and might have to replace both batteries soon. I’ll figure that out over the next week…

Two questions:
1. Any recommendations for good batteries?
2. Has anyone heard of this phenomenon with the 2020 Ram model?

Yes. On my 2021, I discovered early on that I had to go to keeping the FOBs in a Faraday pouch. My house was close enough to the parked truck that the FOB and the truck communicated and the EVIC kept waking up periodically. Anything longer than 4 or 5 days without starting the truck was a problem. Once I started keeping the FOBs in a Faraday, this issue stopped. At home, I also use a battery tender as I sometimes do not use the truck for a few weeks so I recommend that. On the road, I just use the Faraday and have not had any issues, even when camping and forgetting to start the truck for several days.

Any newer vehicle has computer related things that draw power 24/7 unlike vehicles from years ago. I have found that during this cold weather much over 7 days and the truck turns over very slowly so I know the batteries are getting low, therefore I have a Noco Genius battery maintainer that I keep on the batteries. Unfortunately these vehicles weren’t designed to sit for long periods but mine does this time of year as I use my gas motor for short trips.

For batteries check at Sam’s or Costco. Buy what’s best in terms of warranty and price. Since they are nationwide, it’s easy to get warranty service if you need it. At five years, it’s time for new ones. If your truck sits for any length of time, put a NOCO on board charger on the truck.

Thank you for your reply. It always happens when I’m parked at an airport parking lot while I’m out of town…
