Well I am going for the Red with Satin black look no chrome..doing this in stages I will be de-badging and then painting the hood and tailgate emblems.
The stainless Ram running boards didnt work, so I pulled them yesterday, removed end caps, masked the steppads, scuffed them with some Red Scotch brite pads, wired them to hang from the beams.
I prep wiped them, layed 3 coats of etching primer, the 3 coats of 2k urethane gray primer. Light sanding with some 400 wet sand..
Prep wiped and layed 3 coats of hot rod satin black..3 hours later reinstalled them..
