I’m about to do paint correction and ceramic. Anyone have any recommendations of what pads and cutting compound they used for correction that yielded good results? Thanks in advance.

High quality materials will result in high quality results. If you aren't comfortable with hours and hours of hand work (washing, clay bar, polish, seal, wax, ceramic treatment etc) then it is a job best left for the pros
I was also informed it need to be done in a climate controlled, dust free environment. I am just conna have the body shop do the coating for $400 and i'll be good!
I hear you. Completely. I own a detailing business and we ceramic coat regularly. Dust free climate controlled is the absolute best scenario. If your local shop if offering a full inclusive package for $400 that sounds like an amazing deal as long as they properly do paint correction and sealing. We have had to fix horror stories where the paint looked like a hologram from the 80’s.

My truck is used as a truck. So not sure $2000 for paint protection is appropriate. But the coating to make cleaning easier seems good. We had something blike this done on wife's Mustang. Ford dealer charged $1200. Body shop says this is the same thing.
