Hello,
I have watched several YouTube videos on dashcam installation. In one instance they removed the overhead console and tapped into wires to supply power to the dashcam. It looked easy enough and I followed the steps to remove mine. I pulled the two 8mm bolts from inside the sunglasses holder then pulled down on the rearward edge of the console. That part went according to plan, but I can't get the forward end to snap loose and I'm afraid to pull any harder.
Does anyone here have experience pulling the unit out of a '23 model that can provide some guidance?

Thanks!

Figured it out once I got a flashlight and could see up in there.
There are two clips outboard of the two 8mm bolts. Once you have removed the bolts and pulled the rear of the unit down, you use two fingers of one hand to release the two clips and the unit will drop right down.

The installation went great. Probably the easiest Ive ever done.
The rear camera has to go on the passenger side due to the way the rear window opens and I initially put it in right side up. This really emphasized the off center view behind the truck so I turned it upside down. This put the camera lens closer to center line and made the view appear more even. i was able to flip the view in the camera menu.

Never mind the pics. Going this route. super clean install w/factory look.
