The link below is the truck I think I will order... any features I should add or delete.... I plan on deployable running boards being installed after delivery...tried to add them on this build and it required a different package... that doesn't seem to be worth 2k to me? But I may be missing something really obvious.

Any package changes etc that make sense...

Where do you live and where are you ordering from? This forum will give you a large push to order from Mark Dodge in Lake Charles, Louisiana and travel to pick up the truck. Prices with them are below MSRP, by a good amount.

The rest you asked about is all really opinionated.
Looks like with the 5th wheel prep and trailer tire pressure monitoring you'll be hauling a camper? Why don't you want the surround view cameras or at least the trailer tow mode camera so you can see a live video feed of what's behind the trailer at all times in the trucks rear view mirror?

No clearance lamps? what's $95 at this point

Also, Instrument panel aux switches, although most likely not ever going to be used since you did not select them, they do serve another purpose IMO. Without aux switches, the engine braking and trailer braking and park sensors button are all toggles (piano keys) that stick out about an inch from the dash and inherently "into" your area of the center console catch-all bin. They can be in the way, minimally, but in the way. (with bench seats the aux switches are often hit by someone's knees if ever sitting in the middle seat, I know probably rare). BUT, if you DO get AUX switches, all those controls mentioned above become flat face buttons and do not protrude over the console bin or into middle passengers knees. again, What's $145 at this point.

I have never bumped the toggle switches and can’t see having a row of switches than are never going to be used. Clearance lights are a must.

My wife ensured that I got the wheel-to-wheel side steps. It's a long way up for short-legged folks.

What are you going to use the 5th wheel prep for? gooseneck or 5th wheel/rv? Either way you’ll have to buy the hitch you’ll be using since the prep package is just the pucks…5th prep will possibly delay it - maybe only a few days…if it was a GM truck, it’d be a couple months.

I specifically excluded the 5th wheel prep 1) to avoid any delays, 2) I prefer the B&W gooseneck setup over the factory puck system..just had it installed for $860 (i got estimated ranging from $840 -$1150) the lower end of that is essentially how much someone would spend with the prep package and then buying the Ram/curt/Reese/b&w ball

to each their own, but the carplay/android auto setup has worked better than any of the NAV systems in our last few vehicles…to the extent we never used the vehicle’s maps/NAV at all …if you were getting the 12in screen, I’d understand…if you just don’t like using your phone, then have at it
