OOB Tow Mirrors Memory Feature for Current Gen

So I'm probably the only one who didn't know this, but you can save your mirror position for both up and down positions within the same user profile. I had been using my the 2nd user profile to store the tow mirror (up) positions, but was annoyed with having to keep my presets and things up to date in 2 profiles. So I tried saving the mirror position while in moose mode in profile 1 and lo and behold it worked. Put the mirrors up, press profile 1 and they adjust to my preferred towing position, put them back down, press 1 again, and boom they go to my preferred non-towing position.

Hmm. So you’re saying that it knows the difference if the mirrors are in moose mode vs normal and the memory will save the settings for each? That’s cool if the case, has been an annoyance for me as well, trying to use profile 1 and 2.

This is a great feature!

I was doing the same thing until I learned it remembers the two positions. Doesn’t seem to remember the small mirror positions though. That one stays the same either up or down.

It’s been this way since at least ‘18, maybe longer. It’s a really nice feature to have.

That's right, I forgot to mention. The convex doesn't move. I've found a nice spot where it works pretty well either up or down without having to adjust it

Glad it’s not just mine.

I have to make a slight adjustment up vs down on the convex, but not as much as the main mirror would need so the feature is more useful than frustrating, thankfully.

Correct, only on trim's with memory mirrors. Optional on PW and Laramie, standard on Longhorn and Limited.
