Does anyone know the torque specs for the oil drain plug on the Hemi?

Never had any issues using 20 ft/lbs on any vehicle and I have been changing oil since the early 70's.

I was rushing to do it in the rain the other day and noticed the pan deforming slightly when I tightened it with a normal-length wrench. Wasn't really tight enough for me to think I was putting too much torque on it, and I've been changing my own oil for 25 years.

It's definitely something I'm going to watch from now on

Thin materials will do that and oil pans just keep getting thinner as the years go by

Neither engines plugs require the kind of torque that a crush washer style would need. You are just compressing a rubber seal against the metal pan and then just a little more for decent friction in the threads. More is just pointless
