I purchased a 2020 2500 6.7 diesel approximately 6 months ago, looking for places to do first oil change. I was floored to find out these range in price from 250.00 and up. Anyone out there know of a place that might be a little cheapeTexas. A first responder medically disabled/fixed income.
Temple texas.
Would appreciate,

as easy as it is if you can do it yourself, you can do it for 150ish. i use amsoil and a mopar filter.

250 is not bad. You are dealing with 3 gal of oil. The fuel filter should be changed at the same time. Another thing to remember your oil change interval is 15k miles so yes it is pricy but you can go 2x as long on the oil than a gas truck can

Just my personal opinion, even with the synthetics which I use, I would never go over seven or 8000 miles on an oil change. I use Amsoil, but I go 7500 miles change the filter at 3500 miles and add 1 quart. It is my opinion 15,000 mile oil changes are only for garage kept thousand mile a year trucks and then they still recommended you change it after one year. I don’t care what oil analysis company say maybe that’s why we’re having all these lifter and cam problems just my opinion.

Decades of no issues with high millage oil changes now there are some lifter issues in some trucks and you think thats the oil issue? Its a design flaw no amount of early oil changes will change it, if you’re running a truck with problematic lifters they will fail.
