I've seen a few threads on wheel spacers, but nothing really definitive. I have a 2020 Tradesman 4x4 with the Hemi. I picked up a set of OEM Night Edition 20's for $250. I am planning to run 35x12.50s on them, but I was wanting a slightly more aggressive stance. I have seen a few people run 2" spacers, but I was wanting to run more like a 1" spacer. I think the factory studs are too long to run 1". I do not tow heavy, or much at all for that matter. I also have a 2" leveling kit on order (Bilstein springs and shocks) that will be installed prior to tires.

I'm confused, are you asking a question? If you're wanting to know about the 1" spacer, yes, you will have to cut the studs. Motorsport-tech.com will make you any thickness spacer you like.

Look at the mounting face of the wheel. There may be pockets between the lug holes. If so, you can measure the depth of the pocket and the length of your stud, and the difference is the minimum thickness spacer you can run without cutting the studs. The exposed studs will go into that pocket between the lug holes if they are present.

I have run Spidertrax spacers on my Jeeps for a decade with no issues at all. I would NOT cut the studs, especially on an HD truck so you will need more than 1". If you are rubbing, consider a 1/4" spacer up front. I ran those on my 1500 for years and years and beat the truck pretty hard.

What did you end up doing? I had the same question. I haven't taken a wheel off yet, I wonder what smallest spacer is that I can use without having to cut the studs
