Hi All,
I have a 2017 3500 Dually with dual zone climate control that has had zero issues for the 140k that it's been around.
Last spring the heat started to fade over the course of a couple days. I decided to unhook batteries to force a recalibration just to see if it did anything and the heat would come back for a day or two. Shortly after I had it at the dealer for a recall and had them take a look. They say heater core was plugged and wanted $3500...... I say how does cycling the batteries making it work line up with a plugged heater core. No answer....
Needless to say I tore it apart last week to do the blend door actuators because they seemed like a likely culprit and the did the heater core because I was already in there. No change in symptoms.... A lot of the codes come and go for the hvac unit but I got a picture of a few of them. Not sure what direction to go and I would like to avoid dropping it at a shop because I still need it almost every day. I've seen maybe the climate control module can get finicky but I would like to have some direction before I go throwing parts at it.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Nick
