Wasn’t sure where to post.

Anyone have one or similar? I got this one as a gift and haven’t opened it yet. I see it says 1000a and is good for 3.0L diesel or 6.0L gas engines. I can swap it out for a bigger one if needed. Will it start our gas trucks? Which one do the diesel guys use? I have an older cheapo one that starts cars and mowers, etc no problem. Was just looking to upgrade and get something newer. Thanks.

I have a GBX155 for my Cummins. Go big or go home. :)

I got a GBX45 for my wife's Sorento.

So the GBX45 won’t start the Cummins?!

I will do a trade for something in between. There were good intentions and I didn’t specify. Thanks.

Never tried.

Might work on the hemi for 1 start.

I have a gooloo 4000 that got put in my car because despite its claims, it wouldn't start the Cummins. Starts the 2.7T A6 OK.

We gave GB40’s in the van, wife’s rig, and kid off at colleges rig. The kid at college is the only one that’s used it, and her battery was DEAD… she left a light on for 10 days so nothing worked. She did have to put the GB40 into manual override but it started her 2.5L gas engine, but it worked for it.

So the GB40 is likely too small for a DEAD 6.4. I have a GB150 in my 2500 that I bought for the Cummins trucks, I’m sure it will do just fine.

+1 on the GBX155.

It takes quite a bit of snort to get a 6.7 fired up, especially in the cold after a full grid heater cycle.

Buy the best, and cry only once.

Going to swap it out for a GBX75. It should do everything I need it to do being a gasser guy. You diesel, dual battery having, grid heater cycling, DEF guzzling folk can use my jumper cables or call AAA lol. I appreciate all the replies.
