Hi Folks, wanted to intro and say 'hi' from Kitsap County WA. We traded in a Silverado 3500 duramax on a 2024 Ram 3500 Dually 4x4 w/ the Hemi. Tradesman trim, vinyl seats, vinyl floor. We got it with a 50 gallon tank and 4.10's, and we tow about 11k with the truck (a Brinkley Z Air 285) So far very happy with the Hemi power, we're able to keep up on the hills going up and down I-5 pretty well. I've owned lots of diesels, and was really on the fence about the gas truck - but the cost savings of gas over diesel, and out here in the west diesel is almost always at least 50 cents more expensive, I figured we'd give the Hemi a shot... I miss the engine braking of the Duramax, but the hydro boost on the Ram and the Brinkley ABS brakes do a decent enough job.
Finding a dually with the Hemi was interesting. I don't think many dealers order this setup, but I am happy with it.
So far I've got a shop full of Thuren parts for it, doing a 1.5" coil replacement, sway bar, track bar, Fox 2.0 shocks front and back, and Airlift 7500 air springs in the back to level it when towing. Planning to knock that work out over the next week or so. Would like to eventually go with 255/80R17 tires once I get a few miles out of the stock Nexens.
I've benefited a ton just from reading through everyone else's posts, and figured I'd say "Hi!"
