Hello i currently own and drive a 2000 Dodge 2500 with the 5.9 Cummins. Looking to get a 23 3500 HO Cummins. My hope is there is a new transmission option preferably an Allison. I want to know what the issues are with the newer generation Rams with the diesel Cummins engine. I ordered my Dodge in the fall of 1999 and it now has 190000 on it. Engine shows no sign of issues. I had the lift pump problems that plagued it for awhile. I got that sorted out with an aftermarket lift pump, big lines and modified suction line in the tank. Thank you.

the 3500 HO comes with the Allison (6 Speed). not sure model changes for the 23 MY, I have a 22 MY on order. There is lots of posts and history, i havent read anything outside of warranty covered pump. I'm sure others will chime in
