Traded in my '16 2500 Laramie 6.4L Hemi for a '19 2500 Laramie 6.7 Cummins. Truck on the left is my trade in, new truck on the right. I use it as a daily driver. Love it so far.

Welcome, both of them are nice Goats! Is their a story behind going from monochromic gas to shiny chrome Cummins?

Not one that's very interesting. I honestly dont do much with the truck that a 1500 couldn't handle. Its mostly my daily driver.
The '16 gasser was an impulse thing when I was getting rid of my leased '13 1500 Laramie. They had the '16 2500 on the lot and it had all of the features I wanted. The sport black appearance group looked slick. So I leased that. Who doesnt want more truck?

That was sort of the same mentality when the '16 2500 lease was up. Needed something quickly and the new '19 Cummins I got was the only one in the Northeast I could find that had what I wanted in terms of features without having to order one. I was open to other colors and was not dead set on a diesel since I don't tow often. But again, who doesnt want more truck? Basically I'm one of the guys that causes truck prices to increase for guys that need them for work.

Also I know a lot of guys hate the chrome but I don't mind it as long as it's not over done.

It’s all good. I think you will love the diesel! Everyone is different, but I like the chrome, don’t like painted bumpers. Please let us know how you like the diesel after driving it a while as a daily driver.

I've had it for about a month and have 3k miles on it. It drives great. Much different ride than the 6.4. Once you're going you barely have to touch the pedal to increase speed. It maintains speed much better on hills. My biggest complaint about the 6.4 with the 6 speed was that it always struggled to decide if it wanted to stay in 6th or downshift on hills. Now that's not a problem.
I also went from about 13 to 15 mpg to 18 to 22 mpg. Part of that is the diesel and part of it is me making a concentrated effort not to drive it like I stole it (I treated my '16 like a sports car).

I'm in the truck a lot driving to various places and work out of it while on the road. The added USB and USB C power sources make charging laptops and iPads much easier. Most people think I'm nuts to use it as a daily driver in a sales job but when I see them pull up in a small uncomfortable car that barely gets better mpg I cringe. I'd take the comfort of my Ram over just about any vehicle on the road.

I use my 3500 with Cummins as a daily driver and love it also!
