Hello! I’m a new member from Nor Cal. I have never owned a full size pickup before. Two years out of high school I purchased a new 1977 Toyota 4X2 SR5. Then in 1983 I bought a new Toyota 4X4 SR5. My last Toyota pickup was a new 1989 4X4 SR5.
This past March I decided to order a 2022 Ford F-150 4X4 Crew King Ranch Hybrid From a local dealer at MSRP. In the following months several new F-150 owners on the Ford Forums begin to complain about the many problems they were having with their trucks. Leaks, battery drains, air conditioning, stalls, weird noises, shifting or skipping gears, tears on seats, and sound system problems were just some of the issues they were facing. As a result, I begin to wonder if I had made the right decision to purchase a Ford.
I had never considered a Ram because of the negative comments I had read about them. Then one day in late summer I found this Forum and begin to hear a different side to Ram trucks. To make a long story short, I ended up ordering a new 2023 2500 MegaCab Limited from Granger Motors in Iowa In late September. I still haven’t received the Ford yet! The expected delivery date in the first week of January. Of course I don’t plan to follow through with the purchase.
