Been lurking few a few months, this site has been a huge help in narrowing down all the configurations, options, and mods. My first Ram and first Chrysler product since my used 84 Laser back in school, hopefully this one won't eat MAF sensors on a weekly basis....

First mod already done, had the dealer swap out those awful Firestones (why FCA?) for a set of 295/60/20 Toyo Open Country AT3s. Couldn't be happier with the look and ride. Not sure if it was a 2020 change, but my tire pressure sticker showed 65 psi all around, which has let me air down to 55psi with no TPMS warning. Seem like every post about pressures mentioned 80psi in the rear. I would like to run a little lower than 55 in the rear but its close enough to put off the reprogramming for now.

Will post more as I go, and try to add more content for others that may have similar questions. Thanks to all those that helped along the way.

Nice rig! And welcome to the forum. Wouldn't get too torqued about the sticker. 80 PSI is typically 3500 domain BUT, only if the the truck is loaded to max GVWR. I run 55-60 empty.

I want to do the same with the tires. Is the 295/60 the largest tire you could get without any mods? Looks great. Thanks

Nice looking truck, @Blackfin !

I'm thinking of getting the Toyo Open Country AT3s, but I am very sensitive to tire noise (bad tinnitus).
How is the road noise of the AT3s compared to the stock Firestones?

Thanks in advance,
B

I never drove the truck on stock Firestones so can't answer. From my perspective the AT3s are quiet, only time I have noticed some tire noise is down in Florida on the concrete interstate sections it seemed to make a slight hum. Wasn't loud enough for the wife to notice if that tells you anything.

Been running pressures in the 50-55 range cold and been very happy with the ride.

nice looking truck
Been running stock firestones since new 18500 miles no issues yet
