New Headlight bulbs or New Headlight housing?

I would like to upgrade my headlights and would like some input. I have a 2011 ram 2500 with 4 headlights and they just don't put out enough light. Plus I'm not too crazy about the look. Is HID or LED the way to go for a simple plug and play scenario? If you replaced your headlights completely how difficult was it and was it worth the cost difference? I am replacing my for lights with LED and should get those bulbs on Tuesday. Thanks for your input!

I’d look into projectors for your year model. I think it would be the easiest swap. There are several options out there for a 2011
