2020 ram 3500 Longhorn...2006 Montana 29RL, I've driven p/u s truck all my life and had some new ones but this is the finest truck so far.....but I never paid this much either LOL and louder!!
Question....When I drop my tailgate for the 5th wheel I lose my truck cameras. What do I do for a coupling between the two wires ...RAM wants to sell me a wire harness that cost 600+.........am I asking for the wrong thing?....he tried to sell me a "TRAILER CAMERA KIT" and I told him not the trailer camera the truck camera................where did I go wrong?
.and just for grins I'm raised in California all my life (SF actually, now NORTH LAKE TAHOE) and retiring this year and we are moving.....
looking for suggestions too!!

What do you mean "drop the tailgate?"

My cameras don't drop out when the tailgate is lowered. if you are removing it, you need the cover plate that comes with the truck, I think it has a loopback plug to tell the truck the tailgate camera is not connected.
