Need advice transmission oil level

I replace the 68rfe oil filter in the pan and having an issue checking oil level after . What’s is the process for checking level ? Cold should read bottom mark ? Engine on transmission warm 120 degrees should read half way? Hot 170+ should read top mark? Is this correct?

The owners manual does a good job of explaining the process.

60-70°F for cold or 170-180°F for hot.

I would read the inscription on the dipstick. Some want the gear selection in Idle.
