I've got a 2022 Ram 3500 with 12" Uconnect.

Does anyone know if now of the wires going into the screen is the speed wire and wether cutting it will allow you to use the GPS while moving?

In my last truck I was able to put a switch to the speed wire going into the navigation. So whenever I needed to enter something while moving, I could press the button and it would cut the wires connection.

(I know there are solutions like NAVIK, but that's $350+)

Is this the wrong place to ask? Should I post this in the 5th gen area? I'm guessing their Uconnect is nearly identical

So none of the wires are ones dedicated to speed or something else that would indicate the Navi shouldn't allow typing? How would Naviks and Tazer do it then?
No, those days are long gone. It’s all communicated over the canbus network. Naviks intercepts the speed message on the bus at the radio and spoofs it.
