Hello,

I just picked up a 2019 Power Wagon. Under the driver's seat is an unplugged male mini USB. I cannot figure out where that thing plugs in. The USB outlet in the center console/jump seat does not work so I assume that is the plug. Can anyone help me locate where this thing goes?

Thanks in advance.

Just looked and my 2019 PW has the same. The USB in my "center console"/seat works only with key on...won't charge unless ignition is on at least.

I have asked about that in the past as well and never got an answer. my usb also works on my 2020. maybe it is for diagnosing something. seems odd they are wrapped in foam

I’ll be taking delivery of a 2500 Laramie with Hemi later this month and will see if I have it as well. If it does, I’ll ask the dealer (Mark Dodge) and see if they know.

BTW - mine will come with bucket seats and center console. Not sure if you guys have the same.

They only used this cable on 2019-2020 for only the Laramies with jump seat I believe. That USB cable would link the front USB media ports to the rear USB ports so that CarPlay and android auto would work on the rear usbs also. The disconnected cable you see is plugged into the back of the front media hub, and the missing cable that it would plug into would go to the back of the rear USB ports. Not having this usb hooked up would not affect any other function of any of the USB ports, so if something doesn’t work, there is a different issue.

Spot on. I just looked in my 2019 Larimie and I don't have any spare cable. Everything is plugged in.

So the rear usb can be added to the non Laramie trucks?

I think you can change that to always powered on if you reposition the fuse in its slot. Worked on my 2016 anyway.

I've got the jumpseat/center console and rear USBs so should this cable be plugged in?

Apple car play USB hub. I’m swapping my jump seat for a center console. So I see the plugs. One usb port will not work with car play and one will. I had two in my jump seat. One harness for the center console has it to plug under drivers seat and one don’t.
