If the camera is unreliable you could just stick a foam pool noodle over the ball. When the hitch lines up it will knock the noodle off or over and you'll be good to go.

Great, simple idea.

Interior got “minor” items.
Did NOT want seat covers, however…. as much as I am in / out of the truck daily, the fact that I’m a grease magnet.. ended up w/ covers from local to me Seat Covers Unlimited.

Back seat area got a used blanket to cover the fold flat and I have something to keep between me and the ground in the event I need to get under the truck or trailer for a quick repair or tire change.

Found these ball mounts at CMM Off-road.
Very well manufactured. No clue what I’m going to do w/ the A piller one but it is just machined really nice.. lol.



The lower center console one is just as nice. It is for my tablet.



The stalk and tablet mount are Amazon finds, not all that impressed w/ the stalk. May hold a phone just fine but struggles staying put w/ a tablet.
The tablet mount works perfectly.

I really like RAM’s center console design.
I’m able to upfit / install / mount 2 phones and a tablet securely (meets commercial DOT standards) and employ just 1 additional mount, keeping the interior as clutter free as possible (meets my standards ).



iPad is dedicated to ELD (yes I am required to run an ELD and maintain my CDL), mapping, and use of our dispatch app / emails.
iPhone (on left) is back-up for all the above and camera duty (min 4 pics upon pickup, min 4 upon delivery) and of course calls / text etc.
S-22 (to the right).. my personal phone.
I have actually had all 3 on separate mapping apps attempting to navigate to a client site at the AZ / Mexico border, and even that wasn’t enough .. another story for another time .
And once you have a phone crash or get stolen (I have experienced both ),you have multiple back up plans, especially when you’re livelihood depends on it.
