Muzzy’s A/C hack for 6.4 Hemi

As we all feel… most of the country is going thru a Heat wave and the A/C in my 19 Power Wagon is not freezing me out like I expect

I purchased the kit from Amazon that would help lower a/c temps in my truck but all instructions seems to be for the diesel… anyone one have a picture or diagram of the exact heater core line I’m supposed to slice into… I’m melting here lol

I looked into this myself, it looks like on my truck the heater core feeds the oil cooler next to the oil filter. I believe we need a bypass style rather than just a single valve.

I think the problem is more in the vent layout. It always has partial defrost open. Even if I have the setting on “torso” on a hot humid day it will condense on a spot on the windshield

I’m open to this idea, though. I’m in to see how it works.

I feel the same way. The air coming out of my AC is plenty cold, there just not much air speed/volume.

One thing I've noticed on my 23, is if I have it on recirculate, I get much less air volume.

Thanks. Heater valves leaking by and causing poor A/C performance is a chronic problem particularly in farm and construction equipment.

I have had this installed for 3 years now and it still works like a charm.

Your oil filter looks different than mine, does it have an oil cooler right next to the filter like this: . I need to look again, but I think my oil cooler is fed from the heater core, so putting a valve there is no go.
