For those that have had tires mounted on your 75th wheels, did the tire shop remove the faux bead lock ring or did they leave it in place?

Thanks. Was going to remove them to be safe then thought they need to be on to balance the new set up. One less thing to do.

I use balance beads so no issues there.
But you will soon find out that the rim is heavy on the outside of the rim due to the ring. :)

I've been using them for over 10 years in my truck and motorcycle tires. 35s and 37s.
Never an issue. Balance out just fine. Even tread wear on the tires as they are always dynamically balanced.

They just didnt seem to be balanced.... alot of front end shuttering after i had it done

Hmm. Only time I've had an issue like that, the tires were actually bad from the manufacture. Has happened to me twice. Even went as far as removing the tire from the rim and checked the bare rim for balance and it was perfect.
And one was a BFG tire.
Interco is bad about it as well.

When I was getting my tires installed on the 75A rims, I removed the beadlock capable rings before going to the shop. I had talked to them ahead of time and got the manager's permission to have them mount the tires, walk them over to me, I installed the rings using my light impact and handed the complete assembly back to them for balancing. It worked out well and I had no issues. This was at Discount Tire, BTW.

On my previous Ram 1500, I had to have a complete set of BFG KO2's replaced since all 4 were way out of round. Sam's Club couldn't balance them so I took them to Les Schwab and they couldn't balance them. They gave me a printout showing how bad the tires were and I took that back to Sam's. They weren't happy, but they did it.

Are you using the rings the wheels came with?

Yes, but the rings are only cosmetic. The ones that come with the assembly are not the true beadlock rings. Nobody has seemed to find the part number for the real beadlock rings.
I must have misinterpreted your post. I thought you were using the trim ring as the beadlock ring. I was legitimately scared for you haha

Hahaha! No, not it at all! But, I would be interested in seeing someone use the rings as beadlocks and what the results would be. I won't be doing it, but I want to see the destruction that would occur! :p

So do these rings even exist to anybodies knowledge?

Negative. I've seen photos of them but have never been able to locate a part number or any other information.
Hmmm....if you had some money and the knowledge on how to make em and sale them aftermarket.... Might be able to make a buck or 2.
