Mounting brackets; OK to weld here?

I need to fab up some brackets to hold my air tank. Once they are done, can I weld them here w/o issue?

Or would I be better making brackets that come off the frame? If so, better to bolt to frame or weld?

Im going to fab off the frame, and thru-bolt.

You can weld to the underside of the cab but its thin and you will most likely cause cracking from the weight of the tank as you hit bumps, you are better off going with the through bolting on the frame or makeing a bracket that uses the amp step bolts…
