I need to get some running boards for my truck. Looking on the Mopar site, they have two seemingly identical, crew cab, cab length, side steps. One of them has what is called a "B Bracket" Does anyone know what the difference in this and the apparent "A Bracket" would be? Here's the part numbers for reference. 82213271AC (A) and 82213614AB (B)

From what I can tell, the 82213614AB is for a 4x4, and 82213271AC is for a 4x2.

I don't know why there would be a difference.

Did you ever get a good answer to this question or verify in person with your steps? I am about to order these simple black tube steps from the dealer and noticed there are so many different versions on our trucks from over the years. Some hang down more than others, some only have two brackets vs three etc. I just want to make sure what I get hangs down and out the most and has the three brackets.

I did not. I ended up getting a slightly used set from a guy that had a truck like mine. They are the more plain flat boards that have the rubber pad the length of the board. I would still like to have a set of the newer style factory chrome boards that have more style to them, but haven't found a set close to me yet.
