Modification ideas (headliner removed)

I need to redo my headliner due to a leak. 2011 2500. Was a pain in the a$$ to remove. I plan to buy new cloth and re-surface it.

BUT... what else would you modify, upgrade or fix - if anything - given the headliner is removed?

- Lights? My thoughts are adding possible dome lights / reading lights for rear seats, upgrading dome lights in front? Maybe nothing? I know people add the star field fiber optic lights but I'm not sure I'd care about that.

- Sound system?
Not a huge fan of the stock alpine system. Current plan is to ignore the stock speakers for a simple but more powerful (clean) system with 4 new 100 watt speakers in doors, and one good sub (JL 10W6 ish). So not necessarily looking at speakers for headliner unless I need to. May leave in place or remove.

- Antenna? I have a hole in roof that will need to be sealed (previous owner had a Ham radio antenna in roof). So either I seal it, or I add something like a shark antenna? Mine has the stick, and already has a GPS on the front portion. So not sure if any upgrade is needed (although I'd prefer a shark to a stick for car wash etc.).

- Anything I'm missing? Anything I should fix or upgrade while I'm in there?

Thanks!!!

If I ever get around to it, I plan to install a red dome light(s). I had one in a previous job vehicle, really found it handy. The one we had had a switch to turn it on even with the vehicle off, white or red.

I have considered to add a topper at some point, and then some 1515 size 8020 rails running front to back for solar panels for an off grid power setup. ( I do this on vans )

Putting the rail mounts to extend over the cab is a bit of a pain with the headliner in there.

So if that is ever on your mind to have rails to mount stuff - now might be a good time to at least put in some mounting brackets.

Same for general purpose roof rack type stuff - the on line videos of people trying to do this with those dang plus nuts from just the outside - what a pain.

Perhaps also if you are ever wanting some lights up there or starlink , run some wire pass through.

Good point... I was thinking below the roof but not above. I'll look into that.
