Morning All!

I purchased the MOPAR external camera for my brand new 2025 Ram 2500. I was doing a test with the camera unit before having installed inside a horse trailer this week and I could not get the camera to come up on the bumper plug in. Doing some troubleshooting, I decided to try the 5th wheel camera pin hookup and the camera works as it’s supposed to. Went back the number connection and still nothing. Looked under the truck and discovered the wiring is missing for the camera pin only in the bumper. What options do I have?

Thank you!

It's not clear which camera system you're talking about but it sounds like the analog 12-pin connection that is displayed on the UC5 screen since there's no digital connection in the bed from the factory.

The wiring isn't missing. There's only one body cable that is plugged into EITHER the bed OR the bumper connector.

You just need to move it if you're going to use the bumper.

Look at post #2.

Welp, that explains. You would think both would be wired in so you can bounce between different trailer types.

I was trying to understand the post. Would I need to swap the 7/12 pin from the bed with the 12 pin from the bumper? Both the 7/12 pin in the bed are wire harnessed together until the end of the lines.

Also, looking at the picture, I don’t have that connection for the bumper. On my 12 pin bumper connection point, there is literally no cabling behind it at all.
