I turn on my exterior mirror defrosters to remove the morning dew and they shut off within 10 seconds without clearing the dew. I turn them on again and the same thing happens. Are they based on the temperature outside to stay on? The temp outside is 60 Fahrenheit in the morning . Truck is 2500 Power Wagon 75th.

Mirror Defrosters

I used mine this morning and it was in the 70s. I turned them off manually when the mirrors were clear. They do time out but after several minutes, which is stated in the owners manual, but length of time is not specified.
