Hi, was looking into replacing my OEM Firestones with a set of Michelin Defender LTX. I dont go off road or in the snow, I stay on the freeway and pull my 5th wheel. I called a few places and they said those tires are on back-order for 6 months!! So..... anyone have any other suggestion for a good tow/haul tire?

Thanks

If you are looking for AT tires like the LTX, I would 100% go with the Grabber A/TX.

See following chart:

Discoverer AT3 LT are also a popular choice.
I would skip the KO2. I didn't get a good (or even fair) mileage out of them.
Just ordered the Grabber AT/X - they had good reviews and have a nice stiff sidewall. Thanks for the recommendation.

Check Toyo tires. Deepest tread for the tire type. I have many friends who use them on 350/3500 duallies.

I have had toyos on a couple of trucks including my 05 2500 they were terrible for traction and tread life was awful only got about 20k miles on em and they were slicks

My 16 Rebel had the factory Toyo at’s and went hi 40 klickometers which is really good for gravel. So I put the E version on my 3500 and it ate them alive. I know the question but I have yet to find the answer.

I ran Toyo MT's on my '05 3500 CTD, and they did great. I ran Nitto EXO's on my '15 2500 gasser and they did great. I put Nitto EXO's on my '19 dually CTD, and they are doing OK for overall longevity(currently 31K miles)but the fronts cup/scallop pretty bad. Not sure what I'll try next. Michelin Agilis or AT2 are tempting, but I like to run something with a bit more bite so I don't get buried pulling the toy hauler in the washes at Glamis.

I do enough primitive camping that I may play with better mud tires. But I do not want the droning of the tires for hundreds of miles either.

I liked the Toyos I had on the 2nd gen. Good traction and they never howled. I am pretty rotate religious which probably helps. Ran them for about 30k and then sold them for $400. I do that with all my tires. Haven't paid full price for tires in years.
