I have a 2022 2500 Lonestar, is it possible to add memory to the driver seat?

I have been searching, have found several other mods, but not this one.

May not be that simple. The memory setting is tied to mirrors, Uconnect profile settings and adjustable pedals as well. I suspect there is a module and programming needed in the head unit for all this to work.

I had come across the BCM changes in one of the threads and thought it may be as simple as fitting switches and coding.

I was wondering about this too. To get it on my new build would require a butt ton of other stuff I don't want. It's annoying that we have the app that can transmit data back and forth. Should just be able to do it from there...

Seems like you're advocating for a full on subscription model which I'd estimate 99.999% of the DIY'ers hate as it locks you out of upgrading all that stuff.

No way. I hate subscriptions too! Personally, if you're not offering me anything new, I don't think I need to pay for it more than once. What I'm suggesting should really be included, but I'll even deal with a one time paid app access to options that are data driven. The seat memory is just stored data. The seats are already equipped with motors. No need for a physical button when the data can be stored in an app on a smart phone. Just my 2¢

It just makes more sense to store that data in the car.

Agreed - fwiw I was originally commenting on an easier/cheaper way to retrofit. For my build, to add that would have meant a huge amount of crap I didn't want. Anyway, It's not the end of the world to just move the damn seat...lol

The motors for memory seats are different than the regular power seat motors. So, to swap in memory seat, you would need the lower seat rack frame with the memory motors, memory seat module, memory seat switches, and some custom wiring.
Are the memory mirrors tied into the seat memory module or is it a separate module?

Not directly, as in, there is no extra wiring involved when swapping in memory capable mirrors when you have already added memory seats.
But you do need memory capable mirrors in order for them to function along with the driver 1&2 memory seat settings.
The only thing you can gain by adding the memory mirrors, but not the memory seat module is the tilt mirrors in reverse feature.

Ah, ok. Makes my point moot... good to know.

Yeah…they don’t do anything as far as I can see.
Set your seat and mirrors how you want them, press the set button, then press the 1 or 2 button and it should say something on the screen about it being set. Then move the seat and mirrors, and press whichever memory number you set and the seat should return to the same position.

I think it (memory function) also has to be enabled in the radio. There's also a setting for easy exit or whatever it's called that moves the driver seat back when you open the door.

Oh…I gotcha. My last truck did the same kind of thing depending on which of two keys was stuck in it, his or hers etc.
She hasn’t driven this one and probably won’t, so seat can hang where it is.
The mirror function could be handy for those who switch them to tow mode, have that preset to 2…OK.
