I found the source of my rattle... the one that sounds like there is a small person with a hammer banging between the bed and the cab... or possible inside the cab under the back seat. found it hiding in the rear sway bar link. after 30k miles it finally got bad enough that I heard it when I opened my door and got on my steps and I heard it.... that m/f clunk/pop sound I had been tirelessly looking for. I heard it not even moving! so I jumped on my steps and heard it again... I moved closer and shook the truck... ah-ha!! heard it again, finally I reached under my bed and grabbed the sway bar end link, shook the truck......... silence!! grabbed my tools, sure enough sucker was hanging on by a thread... tightened her up and the other side..... PEACE!! AND !!! QUIET!!! we'll call it the $85,000 rattle.
