Hello everyone. Happy to say I just upgraded from a 2020 5.7 1500 to a 2021 6.4 2500. I am looking at making some tough life decision within the next year, so in order to keep my family stable, I will be working and living out of town in a 5th wheel. This is what led me to swap from a 1500 to a 2500. Just brought it home yesterday and love it so far. See you all around the forum.

2021 2500 6.4 Tradesman, white, CC, 6-4 bed, fair amount of factory upgrades.

Nice. Welcome aboard. Best of luck with the new truck and your future endeavors.

WELCOME!! Good on you for doing what’s best family! It’s hard on everyone in the family. My job, in normal times, has me work 28 days on rig in South America/28 days off rotation. Even then, it’s tough for the wife to manage the household and 4 kids (youngest son with Down Syndrome). Since last March, we’ve had to move to 32 days home, 14 days in quarantine, 49 days on rig. So, 9 weeks away from home! It’s tough me and my coworkers, BUT, it’s even harder for our families. It’s taxing on every aspect of life. My hat goes off to men like you and I, that do it so our families can have a better life! Hopefully, soon, this quarantine period can be eliminated and go back to normal hitches.

Thank you for the replies. I will most likely be driving home on the weekends, so hopefully things are manageable. If not, we will adjust like we always do. I am in the later stages of a military career, so keeping the kids stable is climbing up the priority ladder as we look at retirement.
