Matching Spare - What'll fit?

Bought a new '21 Laramie 2500 6.7L and graduated into big boy towing territory. BUT I've been living in Toyota land where spare tires can be any size they want (FJ hangs on the back).

Big proponent of matching spare but there is REALLY not much extra room down there. Between the panhard rod and the hitch assy I don't really see the additional 1.6in I need to go from OEM 275/70/R18 to 285/75/R18 like I want to. 295/70/R18 would be my other option but still I don't really see an inch+ down there that I need.

Breaking it down:
A. What's the general consensus - how do most trucks with oversized tires roll? Matching spare or no? Great roadside assistance? Last time I had a non-matching spare "event" the car was screaming, ABS freaking out, and that wasn't on a drivetrain connected wheel. I'd be real hesitant to do it on a (new, pricy) axle with a diff.
B. What'll fit or are there any mods/kits out there? I'm not ready for Baja style mounting two tires in the bed. Just looking to get a little more meat under there and get these Firestones gone.

Quite a few threads floating around here on this subject. Poke around for a bit.

I have 285/75-18 and the factory spare is plenty in my opinion. It is an emergency use only tire for me.

other members prefer to have a like-sized spare and have fit 35” spares in the factory location.

I have a 2500 cclb, running nitto exo's 35x12.5 in factory location. Fits fine.

I have a 286/75/18 under my 2021 3500 CCLB. It is close but no issues. Not sure if it would fit a 2500 with the sway bar and panhard bar.
