I’ve owned new vehicles, boats, outboards before.

But this is my first time dealing with NEW Ram or Cummins. My 2002 Ram I bought without a warranty.

I like to do my own oil changes, fuel filter changes, air and cabin filters myself.

What is best to show prof of maintenance if a warranty issue comes up. I think keeping a log book might be a good idea. But does the computer keep track.

Any thoughts on the subject? Or are you guys using the dealer or equivalent?

Thanks!

I rip the top off the 3 filter boxes, and scratch the date and mileage on one of them along with any other service items done. Staple them to the receipt for oil and that goes into my maintenance folder.

Just a basic log. Do maintenance as required. Your not required by law to show all these receipts. The manufacturer has the burden of proof on it wasn’t done. This can be easily proven wrong with an oil test
