Maiden voyage (lovin this truck already)

I upgraded from a 2008 Silverado D-Max/Allison 2500 4x4 to a 2020, 3500 Ram Limited Cummins HO/Aisin 4x4. My RV trailer is around 16,000lbs loaded with a Hensley TS3 hitch, and this weekend was the first trip. What a difference, some things I noticed right off the get go compared to the GM; Ram sits at least 6” higher unloaded, Ram steers much easier loaded & unloaded, Ram toys around with this trailer, Ram rides better without sway, engine brake is a very nice option. My GM I had installed airbags and a Banks speed brake to help but its nice not to have to have these on the Ram, I did put some Timbrens on the Ram though. I know the two trucks are very different and my 2500 was a little undersized for the trailer but I’m very happy with my purchase so far. I don’t even have to comment on the interior upgrade. Like everything though, time will tell. I’m not new to Cummins, had a new 1999 & 2006, but im new to the 6.7.

Sorry to get off topic. Wondering how you liked the speed brake. Dad is in the process of installing one on his 06 D-Max.
He felt the engine was overspeeding when downshifting. hoping this helps.

Banks Speed brake worked pretty well, has a few different options for strength of braking. It gives you the option of auto or manual. It did make some strange shifting and turbo dumping sounds at times though. But overall I was happy with it, I dont think you could go wrong with installing one.
