Magnetic armor

Does anyone make pre-cut magnetic armor for the Power Wagon like they do for Jeeps, etc? Many of the trails I have local access to are likely to have some brush rubbing against the panels and I'd rather have some protection for the paint.

If not, I'll buy some rolls of flexible magnetic material and cut my own, but if there's a reasonably priced source on a precut kit I'd like to take a look at it.

I've not seen any for the PWs yet. One thing you have to really be careful about is getting anything between the armor and your truck. Even a small piece of sand can end up scratching your paint pretty bad. This was an issue for cars that would use magnetic number when they doing track days. Even though the magnets appeared to be hold everything in place, the slight vibrations would cause the magnets to move ever so slightly and scratch the paint. Just something to be aware of.

Trail pinestripes don’t bother me. It’s a truck!
Anything much more and you’ll end up with proper body damage and magnets won’t help you there

I've wondered if vinyl wrap could be used. Kind of like windshield tear offs in Nascar.

Yes, but it's pricey. I'll use the spray on armor for track days if I need to, but that can't get very wet. Water removes it.

Pinstripes is what I'm avoiding. I'd rather not have to buff it out constantly and I keep my trucks a long time so I take care of my things.

Getting started. I made templates with kraft paper and am working my way forward. Once I get the passenger side done I'll use these pieces as templates for the driver's side. My son is going to paint them for me. I may cut the larger pieces in half to make installation easier once I've got the whole truck done, the big sheet in the back grabs quick and it took me a couple of tries to get it lined up right. The magnet is strong AF there's no twisting or moving it once it grabs.20230326_143853.jpg
