My aisin takes a hour of driving to get up to 160. I thought these trans had a bypass to warm them up faster. My trip to work is 30 minutes and my trans never gets above 120-130

The 1500s have the tranny heater thingy and possibly the ZF equipped 2500s. I'm pretty sure the HD diesels do not. But, ya, unless I'm towing, the tranny can take well over 30 min to get up to temp. More so when the OAT is well below freezing.

I didn’t mean a heater. There a check in the lines that has the fluid skip the cooler and run back to the trans until up to temp. There always a company advertising better ones. Apparently in the past they would stick and cause the trans to run to hot

Not a heater per se, but a coolant/tranny fluid heat exchanger. Been in the 1500s since about 13.
