Low oil pressure

Hello!

I have a 2021 2500 with the HEMI in it and around 13,000 miles on it. I recently noticed an oil leak and took it back to the dealer to look at. They put the dye in it but said they didn't notice any dye when i took it back in after 500 miles. After they said it all looked fine, i continue to notice the oil pressure ranges from 26 (warm idle) to normal 50-55 (driving at any speed). But whenever i slow down the oil pressure falls again. RAM said everything is fine unless the check engine light comes on… it doesnt appear to be leaking to me anymore either.

Any ideas? I tow my fifth wheel a lot as a travel RN so i really want my truck to be healthy.

Thanks!

Thats more than enough oil pressure especially with the light oil the hemi uses

where was the original oil leak? oil leaks don't fix themselves. perhaps it was must residual oil from a previous oil change. what is it dropping down to? mine runs 55-58 psi at highway speeds. I agree with the above post that is plenty of oil pressure.

Im thinking the oil leak was the funnel for the oil filter just with residual oil

i think it may have been residual from a previous oil change. It was originally all over the bottom of the engine (from the oil filter to the transmission). Good to know thats enough pressure though. It was hard to get a straight answer from anyone.

Yes if the guy that does the oil change isn’t patient the oil filter can make a freaking mess on the Hemi.

My Hemi, with 14k miles using Redline 0w40 and WIX XP filter maintains 29-30 hot oil pressure in gear. Jumps to 34 hot in neutral or park. Yours sounds fine.
